Viktor Nagy

You’re in the right place if your goal is to build a better life.

Over the years, I’ve helped more than 20 people get started on the path to learning programming.

On this page I have collected (am collecting):

  • A presentation of my activities
  • Description of my business
  • My annual and monthly reviews
  • My case studies
Education – Mentoring

Over the past few years, I’ve worked with several people, either directly or indirectly. In most cases, we worked with beginners who generally had no prior experience.

My goals have always been to clarify thoughts around mindset, eliminate excuses and uncertainties. Following these conversations, I provided personalized guidance, though the main principles were the following:

  • design software and projects efficiently
  • make decisions and draw certain boundaries in development
  • break down complex functions into smaller components
  • estimating the required development time
  • completing and presenting a project
GIVE MORE for free than others for money

Everything can be learned with time and effort.

My goal is to share my experiences with you through my writings and videos, so that you can progress faster and enjoy the challenges.

I can offer this to you because everything I write about is something I’ve tried and experienced myself. That’s why I can say from experience that the thoughts shared here are useful and well-considered — to help you move forward more quickly.

year and month evaluators

Starting in August 2024 (or in Hungarian, from October 2023), I will regularly begin each day by reflecting on the following guiding questions:

  • main lesson of the day
  • what did I do wrong
  • what can be improved

I think that these evaluators give you an insight into my activities, you can see what I do on a daily basis, what progress is being made with new ideas.

project case studies

Many people cannot imagine how an IT (or any) project is built. In these descriptions, I will show you the process of managing a project, from the first questions to the completion of the product.

self-improvement

Over the years, I’ve gone through a lot of self-development materials, most of which I didn’t document, as I didn’t think I’d ever need them again. Looking back, I see that as a big mistake, because we tend to forget, and a lot of valuable information and great ideas can be lost. That’s one of the main reasons I now document my activities and share them with you.

That’s why part of this blog focuses on this area — because in most cases, the lack of results isn’t due to missing technical skills, but rather the tacit skills that can only be acquired through practice. The more we practice, the better we get at them.
